The flag of Saskatchewan was adopted in 1969 and designed by Anthony Drake. The green field is the top half of the flag with the Saskatchewan coats of arms in the upper corner. The yellow field on the bottom half of the flag with a western red lily on the fly end of the flag display on both fields. The yellow representing the grain fields in the southern portion of the province and the green represents the northern forested areas. The coat of arms has a red lion with blue tongue and claws on a gold field on the top half. The bottom half has green field with three gold sheaves of wheat. The western red lily is the provincial flower.
