A: The correct order for displaying military flags is as follows:

Q: How should the American flag be displayed?
A: The flag should be hoisted briskly and lowered ceremoniously. When displayed against a wall, the union (the blue field with stars) should be at the top and to the flag’s own right (the observer’s left).
